JOSH DURY INTERVIEW ON BBC POINTS WEST 10/06/2021:
BBC 1 (10TH JUNE 2021)

Josh is interviewed by BBC Points West discussing the partial solar eclipse that was visible from the UK on 10th June 2021 from Stonehenge.

​From geographies from around the world, including: Canada, Greenland and Siberia, an annular eclipse was visible. From Stonehenge, Josh discusses the astronomical significance of the eclipse and how the Stonehenge computer had the capacity to predict this eclipse.

Josh is interviewed by BBC Spotlight to discuss International Dark-Sky Week and the effects of light pollution nationwide.

Since 2020, it is recognised that light pollution has dropped by 10%. Including interviews with Ivan Buxton - Devon Branch for CPRE and Katrina Munro from Exmoor National Park.

​On Saturday 27th March between 8:30-9:30PM GMT, we ask as many of you to turn off your lights in recognising our impact to dark skies, astronomy, wildlife conservation as well as physical and mental wellbeing.

BBC 1 (6TH FEBRUARY 2021)

Josh is interviewed by BBC Breakfast to discuss CPRE's Starcount - an annual event hosted by Campaign to Protect Rural England to measure light pollution across the UK.

​He is joined by astronomers, astrophysicists and conservationists, including Sophie Spencer - Director of CPRE, Professor Lucie Green and Doctor Maggie Aderin Pocock.

This is a short feature of Josh discussing one of his highlights of the year; observing Comet Neowise from Stonehenge; due to be broadcast on BBC's The Sky at Night.

Josh is interviewed by BBC Points West Presenter, David Garmston to discuss the opposition of Mars and what to observe on the surface of The Red Planet.

​He describes how to identify the red dust surface, the dust lanes, the polar ice caps and largest (extinct) volcano in the Solar System using your unaided eye to binoculars and using a telescope!

Josh is interviewed by BBC Points West Presenter, Alex Lovell to discuss the impact the recent lockdown had on our views of the night-sky and address the subject of light pollution.

​He also discusses what can be seen in the night-sky over the coming months and what to observe on the moon.
